- GVWR – typically a 39,000lb GVWR is a minimum requirement for most applications
- Bed construction – The construction of the rear bed rail it critical for safe mounting of a TMFL. Konik recommends a heavily reinforced rear bed rail with strong ties back to the truck frame. Dock height truck bed is a good target for deck height.
- Rear axle placement – the ideal position of the back of the rear to tire to the back of the bed rail is 40″.
